Early Life and Career

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Yale Law School, she practiced corporate law before entering politics. In 1975, she married former US President Bill Clinton.

First Lady and Senator

Clinton served as the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. During her time in the White House, she focused on healthcare reform and women's rights. In 2001, she became the first American first lady to win a public office seat when she was elected to the US Senate.

Secretary of State

In 2009, Clinton was appointed Secretary of State by President Barack Obama. As the chief diplomat of the United States, she played a key role in international negotiations, including the Iran nuclear deal and the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Presidential Campaign

Clinton ran for President of the United States in 2016, becoming the first female presidential nominee of a major political party. She lost the election to Donald Trump.
